Nigel: Welcome Everybody to GCW Ignition, I’m Nigel Alexander and joining me as always iiiis…
Lola: Hey guys, It’s Lola Sparkle here and Nigel, we have some great matches tonight.
Nigel: We sure do Lola. We have the Kidd West Open Challenge Round 2 tonight as well as the rematch between Kenji Yamada and Drew Murdock. But first we have Andrew Jordan, the international champion, taking on Roscoe Biggins in what is sure to be a great showing.
Lola: Andrew has been on a great winning streak as of late, will he keep it up?
Andrew Jordan vs Roscoe Biggins
The fans were unsure of this match before it begun as there didn’t seem to be much to be excited about. However, the pair knew how to win the crowd over with their hard-hitting offense. Both men came out with bruises in places they never thought they could get bruises as the punches and kicks kept flying in. Eventually it was Andrew’s strikes that gave him the win as he was able to hit his dragon combo before seamlessly transitioning to the Korean bomb to keep his winning streak alive.
Andrew rolls out of the ring after his match and makes his way to the announce table where he takes a seat next to Nigel and Lola.
Nigel: Great match Andrew, what brings the International Champion over to our announce table?
Andrew: Well, the next match features the #1 contender for my title. He scouted me last week, this week it’s my turn. I got to see what I am up against and how much Kenji has improved since we last fought.
Lola: Well, you are in the best seat for doing just that. Speaking of which here they come.
Kenji Yamada vs Drew Murdock
After such a good match last time, Kenji and Drew had a lot of work to do to make this match even better, and they didn’t disappoint. Kenji’s Strong style and Drew technical ability bonded well in this match as they kept the intensity of the match up thoughout as Andrew looked on, not saying a word. Drew appeared to have the upperhand after synching in a vicious armbar but Kenji kept fighting back until he could mount a comeback and once that happened, there was no stopping him. Kenji was able to fluently move from reverberance into drop the bass before pining Drew after looking over at Andrew with a smile.
Nigel: A solid win from Kenji there as he goes 2 and 0 with Drew and…oh, it appears Andrew has something to say.
*The camera pans to Andrew who is standing with a microphone in hand*
Andrew: Wait just a minute, stop right there Kenji don’t you move one step further. I have to give it you man, you have my utmost respect and I can’t wait until we eventually face off, but until that time comes I have a proposition for you. I know you’ve had some issues with The Conspiracy, well, I have some unsettled business as well. Me and Cade beat them a while back and have yet to see anything come from it. I mean, beating the Tag Team Champs should count for something right? Anyway, I have a lot of pride for the Orient, specifically Korea and Japan. I feel we could work well together and I’m making a suggestion. You ditch that loser John Styles and team up with me and we can take down the Conspiracy. They have been unchallenged long enough and it’s time we do something about it. What do you say?
*Kenji grabs a microphone himself and ponders for a second before responding*
Kenji: You know Andrew, I’ve got to agree with you man, I’ve been observing you from a distance ever since you stepped foot into GCW. The thought of a second Asian born wrestler in the same company gave me so much optimistic for an oriental invasion. Trust me Andrew, everything you’ve said about I could say about you. You are one great fighter and I do agree that a team would be the best option. But here’s the thing, with both of us being partners as well as rivals due to my number one contender ship, I just can’t see it working. So how about this, At out next pay per view one, why don’t I cash in my title match against you and after that match we shall make a decision as to whether we should be partners or not? Do we have a deal?
*Andrew thinks for a second before nodding at Kenji. The crowd start to cheer as the pair leave, going their separate ways*
Nigel: Well you heard it here first folks, Kenji Yamada and Andrew Jordan will square off at One for the international championship and we may see a new tag team formed as well.
Lola: You know Nigel, I would really like to see these two as a team. They are both so hard hitting, they would make a strong team to face the conspiracy.
Nigel: Speaking of the conspiracy Kidd West’s US open challenge is next and is our main event of the evening.
Lola: Oh I wonder who will face him this week: Jensen, John, Shio? It could be anyone!
Nigel: I like your optimism Lola.
Kidd West vs Skip McKenzie
Unfortunately, Shio Corin did not make a surprise return like Lola had hoped but instead Skip McKenzie took up the challenge in
the hopes of bouncing back from the loss in the tag tournament. Kidd did not make it easy on him though as he picked up on every mistake he made with a counter move. Skip did appear to be making some form of comeback late on but to no avail as Kidd West secured a decisive win by using Judge and Jury.
Nigel: Well it wasn’t anyone we expected but none the less, Kidd West comes out victorious once again in a good match. That’s all we have time for this evening. I’ve been Nigel Alexander.
Lola: And I’ve been Lola Sparkle.
Nigel: And thank you for watching.
