GCW Friday Night Vindication
Rogers Arena
Official Attendance: 18,368
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
RP’s due Friday 30th June @ 5pm EST
The GCW Vindication Pyro and Theme blast across the arena as the graphic display reveals GCW is in Vancouver this week for the opening legs of the Eckert & Haggerty Tag Tourney. We cut to the commentary booth where Beast & Kohl are sat with fans behind them jumping up and down excitedly.
Kohl: I'm Terry Kohl!
Beast: And I'm Beast Jackson!
Both: AND WELCOME TO GCW VINDICATION!
Kohl: We have quite the show for you tonight as the opening legs for the Eckert & Haggerty Tag Team Tournament run underway!
Beast: And our first match is up next!
E&H Qtr Final 1 - Maricia Coucheaux & Camber vs. Roscoe Biggins & Skip McKenzie
“The dysfunctional tag team efforts of Maricia Coucheaux and Camber were enough to overcome the stacked odds that were against them against Texas Oil Billionaire Roscoe Biggins and Skater Kid Skip McKenzie. Whilst on paper this match looked like a solid victory for the debuting Roscoe and McKenzie, Maricia Coucheaux herself proved quite the problem for both men as they held back too much to provide a credible threat, Camber secured the pinfall after hitting a clothesline from hell onto her opponent Roscoe Biggins. Both competitors stood tall over their opponents in an uneasy alliance” - William Everett, GCW.com

Chiyoko Uzuki vs. Wolfe
“Chiyoko Uzuki proved to be a dominant force in this match. Battling the HCW legend Wolfe and defeating her in a match which had little difficulty. Uzuki’s speed proved to her advantage as she outpaced her opponent and was able to hit her with dozens of moves in her arsenal. Moves such as the Frankensteiner, The Pele Kick and the Headscissors Takedown. With Wolfe worn down, it only took The R-18 to make her tap out. Chiyoko celebrated victoriously in the ring with her Womens Title after such a good performance” - Brandon Bryant, GCW Magazine

Vignette
The arena goes black as David Bowie’s Man Who Sold the World begins playing. The screen then shows quick flashes of the scenes of destruction in GCW’s past. It starts off with scenes of multiple members of the roster being kneed in the head. Shio Corin, Darius Seeiso, Aaron Black, Jensen, John Styles and Kidd West all in rapid succession. It then shows the image of the GCW Television Championship on fire. Afterwards, the screen shows Seth Corin being hanged from a noose. Finally, it shows the star of the vignette, a bloody Owen Hawes lifting the GCW World Heavyweight Championship after pinning Shio Corin.
White words begin to appear on the black screen.
“Every nation has its conqueror.
Every hero has its villain
Every dream…
Has its Nightmare”
The screen finally shows Owen Hawes standing behind a candle. He looks to the camera and says to the audience…
“Miss me?”
He blows out the candle and the line “Coming soon” appears on the screen
E&H Qtr Final 2 - El Masko & Daniel Collins vs. Kenji Yamada & John Styles
“In a match of dramatic proportions. El Masko & Daniel Collins pulled off an excellent upset against the highly anticipated team of Kenji Yamada & John Styles. It was a brutal and hard brawling affair that saw El Masko act uneasily around his partner as they fought their enemies in the ring. The hottest moment of the match was when John Styles hit El Masko with a Half Nelson Suplex onto the ring apron, the hardest part of the ring. John Styles was taken out of the match by an El Masko Suicide Dive which left both men down and out by the barricade. This opened up the offence for Daniel Collins as he began to hit Kenji with a combo of punches and blows before hitting the Make or Break and then securing a three count on Kenji Yamada. Masko crawled painfully back into the ring to celebrate the victory as John Styles carried the wounded Kenji Yamada backstage. Easily one of the best matches of GCW with excellent moves and wonderful displays from all competitors” - Damien Dunne, The GCW Wretrospective Podcast!

Mason James vs. Darius Seeiso - By Darius Seeiso
As GCW returns from commercial, Mason begins to pace in the ring, holding his GCW Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder.
Kohl: We await the arrival of former GCW Heavyweight Champion, and member of The Conspiracy, Darius Seeiso.
Beast: Let's hope this match is as hard hitting as their last one!
The music starts and the crowd begins to cheer.
Kohl: Here he is ladies and-- wait a second, that's not Darius...
The crowd begins to murmur as Clint Bishop walks onto the stage, motioning for the music to be cut.
CB: Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to inform you that after checking his locker room, and scouring the backstage area, Darius Seeiso is no where to be found. Therefore, your winner of this match, as a result of a forfeit, Mason James.
The crowd boos as Mason stands in the ring, confused. Clint walks back through the curtain, leaving Mason standing in the ring.
Kohl: I suppose we're not having this match...
Beast: Apparently not, and I'm receiving word that we're just going to move on to the main event: The team of Jensen and Andreas Landa facing off against Kathy Brooke and Joanna Walker!
Kohl: That should be a great match! And it's coming up, next!
*A commercial for KFC's Georgia Gold Chicken featuring GCW's very own, The Answer, airs 3 times in a row*
E&H Qtr Final 3 - Jensen & Andreas Landa vs. Kathy Brooke & Joanna Walker - By Darius Seeiso
Kohl: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, we're set for our main event here. As you can see, already in the ring, Joanna Walker and Kathy Broo--
Pyro explodes like gunshots on the stage.
The opening guitar of Psychosocial comes in, and the stage fills with smoke. Andreas Landa walks out, shaking his head slowly. He shrugs, flexing as he does it, and pops the collar on his sherpa-lined coat.
Fink: Introducing first, from Tavira, Portugal, weighing in at two-hundred-and-ninety-six pounds, he is 'The Juggernaut', Andreas Landa!
Andreas makes his way down the aisle, cracking his knuckles, his wrists, and his neck, as he walks. He climbs onto the apron, looks out to the crowd, and smiles. He steps over the top rope, and walks over to the turnbuckle. He scales to the second rope, and stands tall. With a swift gladiator salute, he steps down, and leans back into the corner, as his music fades out.
The lights dim as the music begins blaring throughout the arena. As the music continues, varies colored strobe lights begin to flash on the stage along with some smoke. Soon a figure emerges with outstretched arms from the mixture of lights with his back to the crowd. After a few moments pause, Jensen turns and embraces the crowd.
Fink: And his partner, from Portland, Oregon, weighing in at two-hundred-and-seventeen pounds, Jensen!
He makes his way down the ramp slowly taking in the crowds reaction while slowly bobbing his head to the beat of the music. The lights remained dim until he gets in the ring. He climbs onto the turnbuckle and once again embraces the crowd.
Fink: And already in the ring, at a combined weight of two-hundred-and-thirty-two pounds, Joanna Walker, and Kathy Brooke!
Joanna and Kathy play up to the crowd as Jensen and Andreas ready themselves in the corner. Andreas stands ready, not breaking eye contact with Kathy, who had decided to start for the team of Walker and Brooke.
Kohl: Jensen looking to Andreas here, trying to figure out who's starting off for their team.
Beast: Well Andreas hasn't budged so I think that answers that question.
The bell rings as Jensen steps out of the ring. Andreas walks to the centre of the ring, and extends his hand to Kathy. She looks to the crowd for approval, and they all boo.
Kohl: Crowd doesn't seem to trust Andreas here, going for that handshake...
Kathy reluctantly shakes Andreas' hand, and Andreas lets go, and backs away, respectfully.
Beast: See Kohl! They had no reason to worry! Andreas is a man's man!
Kohl: Oh hush...
The two begins to circle each other. Andreas goes for a lock up, but Kathy ducks it, and grabs a rear waist lock on Andreas. Andreas shakes his head, reaches down, and firmly grasps her wrists. He slowly pries her hands apart, and slides away from the hold.
Kohl: Well she's not gonna beat him in strength!
Andreas goes for another lock up, but Kathy hits a hard dropkick to his knee instead. Andreas stumbles a bit, and Kathy takes the opportunity to grab a headlock. Andreas audibly sighs.
Beast: Kathy Brooke is getting some offence here! I'm impressed!
Andreas pushes her off the ropes, and she rebounds, attempting a shoulder block, to no avail.
Kohl: Kathy going for a shoulder block, almost bouncing off Andreas. She hits the ropes again, bouncing off Andreas once more.
Andreas grows frustrated after the first two shoulder block attempts. As Kathy goes for the third, he stops her, grabbing her by the throat.
Beast: Welp, it was nice knowing Kathy...
Andreas shakes his head, and chucks Kathy towards her corner. Breathing heavily, with fear in her eyes, she tags in Joanna. Andreas backs off into his corner, and tags Jensen, before ducking out of the ring.
Kohl: Andreas just kind of, let her go there.
Beast: See Kohl?! A true gentleman!
Kohl: Beast, you only like Andreas because he attacked Sway Archer...
Beast: Another testament to his outstanding character!
Joanna and Jensen circle each other for a bit. Jensen quickly snatches a headlock. Joanna tries to step on the back of Jensen's knee, but he dodges her foot, and counters her, spinning her down to the mat with a drop toe hold. He springs to his feet, and as Joanna tries to make it to her feet, Jensen grabs another headlock. Joanna wiggles an arm through, breaking Jensen's hold, and applying a headlock of her own. Jensen pushes her off the ropes. Drop down. Leapfrog. Jensen goes for a dropkick, but Joanna holds onto the ropes, leaving Jensen to fall flat on his back. He rolls up to his feet, and Joanna runs towards the ropes, jumping off with a springboard crossbody. As she turns towards Jensen, he counters, knocking her out of the air with a dropkick.
Kohl: Brilliant sequence, and a brilliant counter by Jensen!
She struggles to get to her feet, and Jensen begins to hype himself up in the corner. Joanna stumbles to her feet, and Jensen sends her flying with a shotgun dropkick.
Kohl: That shotgun dropkick! Jensen looks just about ready for Censored Colours!
Kathy Brooke slowly tries to enter the ring, to sneak up on Jensen. Jensen sees her, and hits her with a shotgun dropkick, sending her down to the floor. Andreas steps down from the apron, glaring across at Kathy. He begins walking, then jogging, then running. He makes it to full speed, and slams into Kathy, flooring her with a shoulder block.
Beast: Good lord! You see, THAT was a shoulder block!
Jensen drags Joanna up to her feet, before planting her with Censored Colours.
Kohl: Censored Colours!
Jensen pins Joanna, and the match is over.
Fink: The winners of this match, advancing on to the next round of the Eckert and Haggerty Tag Tournament, Andreas Landa, and Jensen!
Andreas slides into the ring, and stares Jensen down. The crowd begins to murmur. Andreas takes a step forward, and extends his hand to Jensen. Andreas, barely audible congratulates Jensen.
Kohl: A show of faith from Andreas here?
Beast: HE'S! A! GENTLEMAN!
Jensen hesitantly shakes Andreas' hand. Andreas nods, and rolls out of the ring. Leaving Jensen in the ring to celebrate as the show comes to a close.
