Entrance Music: S U R V I V E - A.H.B -

Entrance: The lights go completely black and smoke fills the stage - a green spotlight follows Whateley down to the ring as he carries a large, leatherbound, ancient looking book wrapped in black felt - with strange golden symbols imprinted on it. He sits in the ring crosslegged and removes the book, studies a few passages, and as the main, higher pitched synth line of the music starts, the lights fade up to a green glow, and then continue to fade to the regular house lights. At this stage he places the book back in its cover and removes his overcoat, now ready to fight (wearing the tights with singlet straps like Angle/Fit Finlay/Pete Dunne - all in black with a fluro green trim).

However, Whateley is slightly bigger with darker hair, and wears glasses when not in the ring.
Character Bio;
Edgar Whateley travelled the world in search of knowledge, and a big part of that was learning how to defend himself and fight for what he needed.
He often states - if somewhat vaguely - that he's seen things most people wouldn't be able to deal with, let alone understand.
Something he discovered along the way has led him to the world of pro-wrestling. He won't really say what it was, but he makes allusions to a "master" of sorts - or at least that he's aiming to please someone by creating chaos and violence wherever he goes.
There's no "official" bio on hand, as most of the things he says about his personal life are veiled and cryptic. If he was given a chance here though, he may reveal more as time goes by.
Personality:
Whateley will head to the ring in a long overcoat which is removed after the entrance noted above. He does carry a large book with him to the ring, which is about the size of a large phonebook, but leatherbound and ancient looking. There are gold embossed symbols on the cover and the black felt cloth that protects it.
He never actually explains what the book is, but he is calm and collected when it's around... until the bell rings.
He will talk about being highly educated in a variety of dark artforms, but insists he is not to be compared to certain "supernatural types" in the industry. He will explain that he is a lifelong scholar, and a thirst for violence has brought him into the world of pro-wrestling. It's heavily implied that he subscribes to some kind of Occult belief system similar to HP Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos.
Whateley is well spoken but his accent is hard to pin down - it is largely American with a hint of something else. He is cruel, calculating, and vicious - definitely not opposed to continuing to damage after the match is over, or backstage, or... maybe even at his opponents home, where they think they're safe...
Quirks:
Usually cool, calm, collected - and cruel. However, he can get easily frustrated if things don't go his way. This is when the cheating and weapons come in.
A standard match would likely see him smash his opponents face with his book while the ref's back is turned.
If he has put an opponent down for a significant amount of time, he may consult his book, sitting crosslegged in the corner of the ring to read it until he's got what he wanted to know (or the opponent is back on their feet).
Specialty Matches:
Anything that is No DQ and/or endurance related - ladder match, hardcore, Ironman.
