Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Owen Hawes never really had any friends. While his peers were busy dating, going to parties, and having fun, Owen Hawes was deep into his books. He spent his early teens immersed in the writings of Edgar Allan Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne. This led to his dark outlook on life. Owen Hawes managed to keep out of trouble in his high school years by training. Kickboxing, Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, Owen Hawes tried them all. He found that he could take out all of his pent up aggression on his opponents. Finally, he had found his niche. He found the art of professional wrestling to be exactly what he needed.
Owen Hawes' idolizing of Poe and Hawthorne wasn't without his impacts. His readings ingrained a mentality in him that the world is broken. They are trapped in a deep sleep of ignorance, and it was his job to wake them up. Owen Hawes was craving a calling in life, and he found it. He wants to wake this world up from its slumber.
