Character Bio: Born in abject poverty in the worst part of Baltimore, Rebecca was practically forced to drop out of high school to support her father. Even then, they barely scraped by. And with every missed meal, every disappointed look from her dad, every stifled laugh or spoken insult when she dared to go out in a skirt, she grew angrier. That anger was bottled, and boiled until, after one comment on how she must have been looking for money going out dressed like *that*, she snapped. The soul who joked that at her ended up in the hospital, his eye socket shattered. Rebecca got off scott free, and, after the adrenaline left her bloodstream, she discovered to her and delight that it felt *good* to hurt.
When her old man died on her 18th birthday, Rebecca sold all of his stuff (except the car -- she needed that) and started training. First a local kickboxing gym, where she learned to hit hard, and then to a wrestling school, where she learned her love of the submission hold. From there she toured the country, living out of her car, the bitterness and anger of her past fueling every encounter. Life didn’t go easy on her, so why should she on these assholes? Eventually, she made her way to Japan, fighting (and loving) in brutal deathmatches that would put the average backyarder to shame.
Personality: Rebecca likes causing pain, and inflicting it to others. She’s sadistic, bloodthirsty, and has the means to back it up. Her favorite sensation in the world is feeling an arm snap in her grip, or hearing a femur crack from a good kick. Despite that, she rarely shows much joy from at it, at least at first; it is usually by the end of a match, when she has the Riot Starter locked in that she really cracks a smile.
Quirks: Rebecca is beasial in her movements and actions; she hangs low to the ground and growls during strikes and holds. When she locks in the Riot Starter, she shouts for her opponent to “say her name” (which is also the phrase used on her merch!) If the going gets tough, she knows how to cheat as well; that baseball bat she carries isn’t just for show.
