Kohl: Welcome to GCW Vindication Live on Fridays, we’re here in beautiful Milwaukee, Wisconsin to celebrate the post-Mayhem festivities.
Beast: Yeah Kohl, and we have a new network exclusive show in GCW Ignition running live as well in Green Bay, and unfortunately for those poor bastards we’re the ones on actual TV!
Kohl: *laughs* Right you are Beast, poor Nigel getting a demotion like that. So to come tonight, we have some stellar matchups for the first week such as Jensen vs. Sway Archer and John Styles vs. Darius Seeiso.
Beast: Don’t forget Simon Cade is facing Edgar Whateley in what I’ve been told it a superstar matchup as ex-International Champ faces current US Champ!
Kohl: And that… is up next!
Simon Cade vs. Edgar Whateley
A very back and forth contest between the two men, Edgar was able to put in some good damage against Cade, even almost being able to hit “The Thing That Shall Not Be”, however Cade was able to slide out of it, and able to counter it into the Judas Spike, and following it up with the Morality Check for the 3 count.
Kohl: What a showing from Cade!
Beast: That educated US Champ sending a message of intent to West and those upper carders, he is coming for them!
Kohl: What remains to be seen is if Cade can successfully retain against West at Heatwave!
Beast: I wouldn’t count on West succeeding!
Kohl: Anyway, up next is Andrew Jordan and Drew Murdock facing off against the newest debuting talent in GCW… Bandit!
Bandit vs. Andrew Jordan vs. Drew Murdock
The highly anticipated debut of Bandit proved to be electric as he overcame the odds to beat two established GCW Superstars in the MMA star Andrew Jordan and the talkative Drew Murdock. The Cincinnati Superstar Bandit put both men through their paces and ended the showing with a Bank Job on Drew Murdock knocking him clean down for the pinfall. After the match he took the time necessary to rifle through Drews things at ringside quickly, scarpering off with what appeared to be a small wad of cash.
Kohl: That thief! That’s got to be breaking the law!
Beast: A mans gotta make money somehow, and what better way than to take other peoples!
Kohl: Are you condoning crime on live TV?
Beast: *raising hands in defence* I am just calling it like it is
Jensen vs. Sway Archer
The lights dim as the music begins blaring throughout the arena. As the music continues, varies colored strobe lights begin to flash on the stage along with some smoke. Soon a figure emerges with outstretched arms from the mixture of lights with his back to the crowd. After a few moments pause, Jensen turns and embraces the crowd.
Fink: Introducing first, from Portland, Oregon, Jensen!
He makes his way down the ramp slowly taking in the crowds reaction while slowly bobbing his head to the beat of the music. The lights remained dim until he gets in the ring. He climbs onto the turnbuckle and once again embraces the crowd.
Kohl: Jensen looking for an important win here, over one of the #1 contenders for the GCW Championship, The Conspiracy's Sway Archer.
The arena goes dark. The guitar flares up, and the strobe lights start to flicker. Sway walks out on stage bobbing to the music.
Fink: And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, Sway Archer!
He points to the stage, then points to the sky. He kisses his fist, and starts down the ramp. When he gets to the ring, he rolls in, points to the sky, and sparks rain down from above. He jumps onto the top turnbuckle, and raises his fist.
Beast: Sway can't really afford to lose this match. Darius and him have a massive advantage going into what is basically a 2-on-1 against Mason James. The last thing they need is giving Clint or Nigel any reasoning to add another person to that match.
The bell rings, and the two begin to circle each other, Sway taunting Jensen the entire time. Jensen goes for the lock-up, but Sway ducks it, and snatches a rear-waistlock. Jensen breaks the rear-waistlock, and grabs one of his own, before lifting Sway up and slamming him chest-first into the mat. Sway quickly works to his feet, and spins out of the rear-waistlock, dropping Jensen with a drop toe hold. Sway quickly transitions into a side headlock, and shifts his weight down on Jensen's chest. The ref counts for a pin, but Jensen pops a shoulder up at one. Jensen rocks back and forth a bit, before working to his feet, still trapped in Sway's headlock. Jensen tries to fight off the headlock, grabbing Sway's hands, but Sway responds by grabbing a hold of Jensen's hand, and twisting his wrist. Sway twist Jensen into an arm wringer, forcing Jensen down to a knee. Jensen rolls forward, and tries to kip up, but as he does, Sway changes his grip, and twists Jensen's arm the other way, forcing him back down to the mat. After struggling for a bit, Jensen works his way to his feet, and backs Sway up to the ropes. The ref calls for separation, and gets to the count of 3 before Sway lets go. Sway swings, and Jensen ducks it, catching Sway's arm, and countering it into an Irish whip, throwing Sway off the ropes. Drop-down. Leap-frog. Jensen connects with a picture-perfect dropkick, sending Sway rolling out of the ring. The crowd erupts into applause as Jensen stands triumphantly in the ring.
Kohl: A brilliant exchange there! The fans are on their feet!
Sway, clearly angered, slides back into the ring. He reluctantly extends a hand to Jensen.
Beast: Look at this little brat, he knows he's been bested!
As Jensen goes to shake his hand, Sway quickly slaps Jensen with the other hand. He follows it up with a headbutt, which sends Jensen staggering towards the ropes.
Kohl: What unsportsmanlike behaviour from Sway.
Beast: *grumbles* It was smart though...
Sway quickly charges at Jensen, and connects with a back elbow. He rolls Jensen into the centre of the ring with a snapmare, and follows it up with a kneedrop to the throat. The crowd boos as Sway begins to saunter around the ring.
Kohl: Sway Archer may be the most disrespectful wrestler I've ever seen.
Beast: Finally! We agree on something!
Jensen rolls up to a knee, but Sway quickly puts him back down with a boot. Jensen works up to his feet once more, but Sway locks in a cravate.
Beast: Look at this Kohl! Sway Archer knows what a god damn cravate is! I have to admit I'm impressed, not many cravates from younger guys nowadays.
Sway twists Jensen's neck, and lands a neck breaker, before springing to his feet, and hitting a leaping vertical senton.
Kohl: Sway crashing down hard on the chest of Jensen there, going for the pin--
One, two, kickout.
Sway shakes his head, and begins to circle Jensen. Jensen stumbles up to his feet, and Sway connects with a vicious European Uppercut. Jensen shakes his head in anger. Sway lands another uppercut, but it only angers Jensen more. Sway lands a third uppercut, and Jensen retaliates with a stiff enziguri. Sway tries to shake it off, stumbling over the the corner, but Jensen nails him with a shotgun dropkick.
Kohl: Jensen's making a comeback!
Sway staggers out of the corner, and Jensen quickly snatches him into the air, before slamming him into the turnbuckle with a buckle bomb. Sway crashes to the mat, and Jensen lingers, waiting for Sway to get up. Jensen motions to the fans, trying to hype them up.
Kohl: Jensen maybe looking for 'Censored Colours' here!
All of a sudden, Sway gets dragged out of the ring.
Kohl: What -- Sway -- wait a second, that's Mason James!
Mason girls Sway into a barricade, and the ref calls for the bell.
Beast: Mason wasn't done with Sway!
Mason picks up Sway, and clobbers him with a lifting clothesline.
Fink: The winner of this match, as the result of a disqualification, Sway Archer!
The crowd boos as Mason begins to drag Sway up the ramp.
Kohl: Mason just cost Jensen this match, and is really putting a beating on Sway!
Mason chucks Sway off the stage, sending him crashing onto the concrete floor. Mason slowly lumbers down after him, and shakes his head.
Beast: Mason is probably trying to keep Sway out of that GCW Championship match!
Mason picks up Sway, who is struggling to catch his breath by the barricade. He chokes Sway against the barricade, as he yells at the fans to get out of his way.
Kohl: Somebody stop this!
Mason lifts Sway into the air once more, and nails a lifting clothesline, sending Sway tumbling over the barricade, landing hard on the ground amongst the fans.
Kohl: Sway landed bad there, he needs help!
As Mason goes to climb over the barricade, security guards rush over and block his path, yelling at him to get to the back. Mason shakes his head and trudges to the back, unphased, while medical personnel tend to Sway.
Maricia Coucheaux vs. Chiyoko Uzuki vs. Camber
A triple threat match between the champion, the number one contender, and the queen of flames. Marcia was intent on making a statement, and making sure her challenger wasn't going to be able to make it to heatwave. Chiyoko noticed the malice and ducked a kick, sliding out of the ring. Marcia followed suit giving chase to the idol, Camber slid out of the ring and lied in wait. Maricia and Chiyoko began a back and forth match before Marcia knocked Chiyoko down with a stiff kick. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Camber, and leaned over the rope to grab her by the hair. Suddenly a flash of fire and Marcia was grabbing for her eyes stumbling backwards. Chiyoko was there to backslide Marcia for the three count as Camber watched on smiling.
Vignette
The lights go dark in the arena as a video plays in the Titantron. The video starts off completely black. The first few notes of David Bowie’s Man Who Sold the World begins to play. A voice begins to speak.
“I am what keeps you up at night. I am what you fear. I am…”
The sound of a woman’s scream echoes throughout the arena
“…Your Nightmare.”
A quick flash of a smiling Owen Hawes shows on the screen and is quickly replaced by the words
“Coming soon”
Kohl: I am unsure what to make of that… What could this mean for GCW?
Beast: I’m not sure Kohl, but by the sounds of things the fans out there are loving this supposed return of a GCW legend!
Kohl: Talking about legends, we have two in the making coming at us live in the Main Event uo next!
Darius Seeiso vs. John Styles
‘Devastate’ starts playing, 10 seconds go by then the lights go out, 20-30 seconds pass and they come back on with Styles standing with his arms outstretched and facing the titantron. He spins around and looks all over the arena before slowly making his way down the ramp. When he gets to the ring he looks around again and walks over to the steps, he runs up them and runs into the middle of the apron points with both hands out to the crowd and then runs back to, and climbs up, the turnbuckle.
Fink: making his way to the ring… from Los Angeles, California… John Styles!!!
There is a cheer from the crowd.
He bows his head so that his hair is covering his face, shakes it and then flicks his hair to the back of his head and quickly points both fingers to the air then jumps down and faces the hard cam and looks around waiting for his opponent.
Blackout
As verse starts, and guitar comes in, deep red ambient light.
Darius comes out slowly, and pauses at the top of the ramp.
The guitar drops and Darius looks up as the spotlights hit him. He has his title draped over one shoulder, and animal fur draped over the other.
Darius saunters down to the ring, looking generally unimpressed.
Fink: Making his way to the ring… from Maseru, Lesotho… He is your reigning GCW Heavyweight Champion… Darius Seeiso!!!
The mixed response from the crowd is apparent, cheers from the smarks and boos from the children.
As Darius enters the ring, he shakes his head. He stands in the middle, and snarls at the crowd.
He then moves slowly over to the corner, drapes his title over the top rope, and kneels.
Kohl: You can feel the hatred in the air tonight, these two men have history with each other and tonight is just another chapter in the book of John Styles vs. Darius Seeiso…
Beast: Man, is George R.R. Martin writing this thing? I just want it to be over already!
Kohl: And that is the bell! These two titans are circling each other here, with referee Ron ‘Burgess’ Meredith officiating the action here tonight, a grizzled vet like him certainly wouldn’t want either man to violate the rules!
Beast: Ron and I go way back, the man is a fantastic ref and certainly has a lot to bring to the table tonight, good to see West hiring the right talent!
Both men lunge forward, John Styles landing the first blow with a swift forearm against Darius Seeiso’s head. Darius responds in kind with a few swift punches to the gut of Styles who is busy painfully hammering away with his fists at the back of Darius Seeiso. Darius quickly flips Styles over his shoulder, with Styles rolling carefully towards the ring ropes and getting back to his feet fast. Seeiso charges forward hitting Styles with a clothesline that sends both men tumbling over the top rope.
Kohl: The match has barely even started and the action is already spilling to the outside of the ring!
Beast: And with the rules the way they are, both men are at risk of a count out!
As both men struggle back up, Styles hits a chop across the chest of Darius Seeiso who has been forced with his back across the ring apron, each chop rings across the arena as the slaps painfully leave red marks on Seeiso’s chest. In no time at all Darius lunges forward hitting Styles with an elbow across the face, causing him to turn his back on Seeiso… who grabs him… Saito Suplex onto the ringside floor!
Kohl: My that one looked painful! A very strike heavy showing today
Beast: Strikes tend to be the hardest hitting moves, often wearing opponents down with heavy or skillful blows is a good way to secure a victory.
The ref has reached the count of 8 when suddenly Darius slides into the ring and then back out. Displeased at this action, the ref throws up his arms in frustration. Darius begins to pick up John Styles when suddenly John shoulder barges him in the gut and grabs him, tossing him into the ringside barricade back first with a nasty thud. Darius drops to the floor clutching his back as Styles brushes his hair back with his hands and begins to taunt to the crowd pointing to the ring ropes.
Kohl: Oh my what is Styles planning here? Something sinister no doubt!
Beast: He’s looking at those ropes with a thirst and hunger for something daring, no question!
Styles rolls back in the ring and takes a running spring at the ropes, leaping off the top rope onto Darius Seeiso and hitting a fantastic and beautiful Springboard Tornado DDT. The crowd bursts with excitement as Styles sits up and painfully claws himself back up to his feet. Unknowingly, Seeiso has also dizzily gotten back up… Running Corkscrew Forearm! Wait… Styles has ducked it… Superkick from Styles!!!
The ref continues his count 9...10!!! The bell rings as Fink reaches for the microphone.
Fink: Both men have been counted out… as such neither are the winner!!!
As the havoc continues, Kidd West runs through the crowd, dressed in regular clothing carrying a baseball bat. He jumps the barricade and cracks Styles across the chest with the bat causing him to stumble backwards.
Kohl: Is that… WEST!?!
Beast: Boy he surely legged it from Green Bay all the way to here!
Kohl: He’s here to hurt Styles though, that much is clear
As West raises the bat to go for another swing “The Pines” by Portugal. The Man hits. Jensen runs down, still in ring attire from earlier, coming to the aid of Styles no doubt.
Kohl: And now JENSEN IS HERE!!!
Beast: What a mess this is turning into!
West turns his attention and swings for Jensen, however, Jensen ducks under the swing of the bat, slipping behind West and grabbing him… Censored Colours!!! Jensen and Styles beat a hasty retreat up the ramp the camera fading to black as the crowd loudly cheer “HOLY SHIT”
