The GCW Vindication theme blasts out loud across the arena as Pyro erupts in varying colours of red, black and white. The fans cheer loudly as the cameraman pans through the audience and we arrive at the commentary booth where Beast Jackson and Terry Kohl stand by at ringside.
Kohl: Welcome to GCW Vindication LIVE from Boise, Idaho! We have a packed show for you tonight featuring some awesome talents such as Simon Cade, Chiyoko Uzuki and John Styles!
Beast: And as the final show before Heatwave, we have one special attraction match booked last week by our owner Kidd West!
Kohl: Right you are… El Masko puts his mask and career on the line in the ultimate showdown between him and Mason Childers for the Hardcore Championship… and its a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match too!
Beast: Those “On A Pole Matches” are wrestling classics
Simon Cade vs. Danny Gordy - By Kidd West
In a short bout, the US Champion Simon Cade was victorious against Danny Gordy. Cade had the control of the match from the get go using his established experience and knowledge to outsmart Danny Gordy. Cade began to spam Michinoku Drivers as Gordy struggled to fight back. In the end it was all sealed when Cade unleashed the Breakdown on Danny Gordy, driving his skull painfully into the mat and leaving him equally dazed and confused as Cade secured the three count.
“Some would call this match a real Baptism By Fire for Danny Gordy. Hopefully he can establish himself amongst the GCW Roster, more specifically the rookie Hardcore Division which is in need of an injection of talent” - Jack McNamara, GCWMagazine
Chiyoko Uzuki vs. Camber - By El Masko
Camber walked into the ring an calculated intensitiy in her eyes. As she went into her corner she seemed to be scanning the ring waiting for Chiyoko. She didn't have to wait long for the undefeated superstar to come bounding out of the entranceway trying to put on a brave face. As she jumped into the ring Camber just stared at her waiting for the bell to ring. The bell rang and Chiyoko's high flying was halted by Camber's power. As Chiyoko was on the ground winded Camber paused for a second and went back to her corner to let her up. Staring at the wounded Chiyoko. The referee put chiyoko into her corner and sent them back to fighting, Camber delivering stiff shots. Chiyoko slowly returning the favor trying to gain some distance. The faster paced Chiyoko managed to lock Camber into the R-18. Camber immediately tapped out not wanting to risk injury.
Mason James vs. Dan Henderson vs. John Styles vs. Kidd West - By Kidd West
In a highly anticipated Fatal-4-Way battle. Kidd West turned out victorious. The battle was raged all across the ring and even outside of it with things coming to an all out spotfilled brawl between all four men as Mason James kept coming to the rescue of his partner Dan at several moments in the match. Eventually at one point. Ian was able to convince all three that their best bet of winning would be to take out Kidd West, their one mutual enemy in all affairs, and so what was a Fatal Four Way, turned into a three on one handicap. In a duel of desperation, West resorted to conducting his combat at ringside, using the environment to his advantage as the barricades and ringsteps afforded him many protections. Eventually, West was able to corner Dan Henderson in the ring and hit him with the Judge & Jury and secure a three count, slipping out the ring quickly and fleeing backstage as Mason James chased after him.
“Kidd West will have a lot more to worry about than the threat of an enraged Mason James as his match with Simon Cade is fast approaching. The lucky break he received this match, with the odds astronomically out of his favour will only do more to invigorate his enemies no doubt. Mason James will have more important things on his mind with his upcoming title opportunity” - Ross Eadie, GCW.Com
The screen suddenly fills with static before cutting to backstage where Simon Cade is seen sitting in a dark and disused part of the arena.
"Kidd, Mr. West, whatever you wish to be called, you issued a challenge last week for my United States Championship, you want to put me through the gauntlet... Might I remind you Kidd about the three stipulations, even if it's not needed? Pinfall, simple enough. Submission, one of my specialties, I've made you tap out before. Table, I've put you through a table before. I know you have your strategies, your schemes, your plots, and onward, but I also know that come Heatwave, I'm going to walk in champion, and walk out champion. In short, Mr. West... I accept."
Darius Seeiso vs. Drew Murdock - By Darius Seeiso
Drew and Darius circle each other for a bit, with Darius constantly looking for opportunities to lunge at Drew.
Beast: There is no confusion here, these men, do NOT like each other. The animosity between the Axis of Anarchy and The Conspiracy is well documented.
Kohl: Countless one on one matches, tag matches, and the 6 man tag match that started it all.
Beast: That was the night that Kidd and Darius retired Barton Massey! My close friend!
Darius shoots in for a single leg takedown, and trips Drew down to the mat. He quickly transitions into a kneebar, but Drew rolls and escapes it.
Kohl: Beast, are you pleased with the way that Kidd and Darius have come out of that initial 6-man tag? The four current members, in a combined effort, at one point or another, have held every title GCW has to offer. You've gotta be somewhat impressed.
Beast: If I wasn't so upset about all the talent we've lost at the hands of The Conspiracy's reign of terror, I might be impressed. But look at the losses. Talents like Aaron Black, Testament, to name a few.
Darius goes for a lockup, but Drew ducks it, and snatches a rear waistlock.
Kohl: There's no denying, The Conspiracy has shelved quite a few wrestlers throughout their reign, but the GCW roster has stepped up to fill those gaps.
Darius goes to hit a back elbow on Drew, but Drew ducks it, and quickly snaps Darius down to the mat with a drop toe hold. Drew quickly hits the ropes, and comes back with a basement dropkick to Darius' midsection.
Kohl: We've got men like Mason Childers, Sway Archer--
Beast: I hate that kid...
Kohl: We've got an entire women's division, headed by The Conspiracy's own, Maricia Coucheaux. The talent pool in GCW has never been deeper!
Darius rolls to a knee, and Drew snatches a headlock. Darius rolls backwards, throwing Drew off, and then follows it up with a quick forearm. Drew shakes it off, and hits a kick. Darius registers the kick, shakes his head, and hits another forearm.
Drew shakes it off once more, and the two lock up, trading shots. The crowd swells into applause as Darius and Drew punch furiously at each other.
Kohl: As we said earlier these two have a lot of bad blood, and it's on display here tonight!
Darius gets rocked temporarily, and Drew hits the ropes, only to be met with a picture perfect dropkick from Darius. Drew quickly rolls out of the ring, regathering his thoughts. Sway walks around to the side of the ring that Drew is on, and proceeds to taunt him. Drew shakes his head at Sway, and rolls into the ring, only to be met with boots from Darius.
Beast: Sway needs to keep his nose out of this match up! He's causing me enough strife just being here!
The ref pushes Darius back, and Darius obliges. As he goes to attack Drew again, Drew pops up and cracks Darius with an enziguri. Darius rolls to the outside, and Drew begins hyping up on the inside.
Kohl: What's Drew looking for here?
Drew hops over the top rope, and goes for a moonsault off the apron, but Darius quickly rolls into the ring. Drew lands on his feet, but tweaks his knee a little bit.
Beast: Drew busted his knee a bit there, limping around at ringside.
Darius draws the ref's attention, so the ref misses Sway attacking Drew from behind on the outside.
Beast: See! See, Kohl! Sway shouldn't be out here!
Darius keeps the referee's attention as Sway fetches a chair from underneath the ring.
Beast: This is bullshit, come on!
The ref turns around to see Sway on the outside with the chair, and Darius notices at the same time.
Beast: Get him! Disqualify them! Fire Sway!
The ref starts yelling at Sway as Drew rolls into the ring. Sway drops the chair and starts pleading with the ref to not disqualify Darius. Meanwhile, Drew makes it to his feet, still favouring his leg. Darius panics, and claws Drew's eyes.
Kohl: Oh come on!
Darius then kicks out Drew's knee, and hits a Royal Fury.
Kohl: Not like this!
Sway starts pointing out Darius to the ref, as Darius slides over for the pin. The ref turns around and reluctantly counts the pin.
Mason Childers © vs. El Masko - Kendo Stick On A Pole Match - By Kidd West
Fink: This match is scheduled for one fall and is for the GCW Hardcore Championship… Introducing first from El Paso, Texas… EL MASKO!!!
"Bleed for a living" starts and El Masko walks out wearing sunglasses and holding a boombox, and points to the sky. He runs towards the ring highfiving as many people as he can before stopping at the ring. He places the boombox on the ground, and hops onto the apron and climbs to the top rope. He makes a looking motion and climbs back down to place his sunglasses on a random fan before rolling into the ring.
Kohl: What a talent that El Masko is.
Beast: Some say he once Moonsaulted his way over President Trump’s Mexican Wall, he is that good!
Fink: And now… ladies and gentlemen… all rise for your GCW Hardcore Champion… MASON CHILDERS!!!
When the music starts, all the lights are turned off (pitch black). The song plays itself out until it gets to the "Watch the Damned!" line. When that line hits, a spotlight shines on the top of the ramp. Mason is there taking a knee. When the Chorus hits at "Balls to the wall, man!" a "wall of fire" pyro explodes into the air behind Mason, and he stands from his kneeling position. From there, the lights come back up and Mason throws his hands up into the air in a "stand up" motion to rally the crowd behind him. He picks one audience member to high five at the end of the ramp before he turns the corner and walks up the steel steps. He enters the ring and spreads his arms apart as if to symbolically embrace the crowd.
Kohl: What a man Mason Childers is, a true throwback to the glory days of wrestling right here…
Beast: That mask is going to look so pretty hung up on his wall
The bell rings
Immediately El Masko rushes at Mason Childers, quickly rolling behind the big man and grabbing his arm into a chickenwing. Wrenching him around the ring, masko then proceeds to throw him into the corner and repeatedly strike him in the gut with strong knees. The Kendo Stick shaking above them on the above pole. Masko scrambles on top of Mason, leaping repeatedly to try grab the stick. Mason Childers, having none of it, rushes forward and powerbombs El Masko painfully onto the mat.
Kohl: Ouch… thats going to hurt in the morning…
Beast: Mason looks like he tweaked his leg on that landing…
Mason Childers is clutching his leg as he groans in pain. El Masko slowly gets up as Childers rushes at him, Masko rolls out of the way and leaps onto the top rope, hitting Mason Childers with a top rope springboard moonsault. Childers lays down on the mat, unmoving, he blinks, staring at the ceiling of the arena before wiping his mouth and slowly trying to get up, dazed and wounded he crawls to a ring corner looking worn out and dazed.
Kohl: Mason Childers is looking absolutely worn out from that nagging leg injury…
Beast: Someone needs to stop this thing!
Masko quickly scrambles to where the pole is, rushing up quickly to grab the stick, as he yanks it down there is a gasp of worry from the crowd. Childers leans his head against the nearby rope, grinning as Masko whacks the Kendo Stick off the ring mat once… twice… three times. Each pound filling the air with tenseness and intrigue. Masko rushes forward, the familiar thwack of the Kendo stick rings out throughout the stadium as Mason Childers roars with pain, clutching his already wounded leg.
Kohl: Somebody! Anybody! Stop that man!
Beast: This is turning sour…
Masko proceeds to repeatedly strike the Kendo Stick off of the leg of Mason Childers until the stick itself snaps and the ref is forced to wrench it from the hands of Masko. Mason lays back, breathing heavily through the pain. Masko arguing with the ref. Suddenly, he charges from the bottom of the corner and rushes at Masko. Pure adrenaline pumping through his veins, he catches Masko with his shoulder and flings him into the air, sending Masko flying overhead and crashing headfirst into the mat. Masko rolls back up and charges at Mason, Mason responds by hitting him across the head with a forearm. Masko refusing to stay down, gets up again and has another run, only to be scoop slammed by Mason Childers who goes for the pin
Kohl: What a surge of energy! Could Mason Childers be about to retain!
Beast: He has to… he must...

KICKOUT!!!
Masko kicks out suddenly. Mason grabs him by the eyeholes of his mask, picking him up. He then tosses Masko into the corner, cracking his back off the turnbuckles. Masko rushes forward and leaps up hitting Mason with an enzugiri kick. Mason stands for a few seconds looking blank and expressionless, before collapsing forward. Falling headfirst into the mat. Masko quickly tries to cover him up.

KICKOUT!!!
Mason somehow musters the strength to kickout of such a painful fall. Slowly getting back up. He shoulder charges Masko into the ground and picks him up, repeatedly headbutting Masko until he cannot get up. It is then, a dazed Mason Childers looks around as though he is lost. He quickly scrambles to climb the top rope. As he stands over El Masko, ready to leap and end this, he freezes in place. The electric nature of the crowd dies down. Childers, bleeding from his head, clutches his thigh and begins to rub his eyes, falling from the top rope, he lands painfully onto his back, sprawled out as his body gives up on him. Crawling over slowly, Masko drops a single arm over his chest.

The crowd go silent. The fans look on, a mixture of horror and worry. El Masko slowly rises as the ref raises his hand and hands him the Hardcore Championship. This is what El Masko had been dreaming of for ages. His first ever Hardcore Championship. Raising it above his head, he rolls out of the ring as we cut to a stupefied Terry Kohl and Beast Jackson.
Kohl: What a sacrifice from these two today…
Beast: El Masko… is the new Hardcore Champion…
Beast slumps into his seat, a mix of emotions flashes across his face.
Suddenly the lights dim until only a lone spotlight focuses on the stage. Mason Childers lays there, in a pool of his own blood and sweat. The refs and ringside paramedics slowly ease him up but he pushes them away. He looks out on the crowd, a sad grimace across his face. And begins to slowly exit the ring, the spotlight follows him to the ramp where he slowly and weakly limps to the stage, back turned to the fans.
Slowly a chant emerges from the audience…
“WE SALUTE YOU! WE SALUTE YOU!”
Childers, a small smile creeping across his face, raises his fist into the air as a massive cheer emerges from the audience. Clapping and applause fills the arena as the cameras fade to black
