The lights flicker and cut immediately to black. White noise fills the screens. Images flicker and glitch into the arena as Little Monster by Royal Blood kicks in over the speakers. Drew Murdock strolls out onto the stage in his wrestling gear and studded leather jacket. He pauses to acknowledge the crowd with arms outstretched either side of him as fireworks shoot up from the stage. He strolls purposefully towards the ring and springs up onto the ring apron, pausing to acknowledge the crowd before jumping into the ring over the top rope. Once in the ring he sprints across to leap onto the middle ropes of the far turnbuckle - lifting his arms in the air and saluting the crowd. Finally he jumps down, takes off the leather jacket and casually tosses it out of the ring before limbering up in his corner against the ropes.

Character Bio: Drew Murdock has signed with GCW after years of tearing up the independent scene in his native UK with an unorthodox, innovative style of high-octane wrestling.
Murdock started wrestling in his home town at age 16 and so despite only being 25 he is already closing in on 10 years in the squared circle. Although there is considerable excitement surrounding his next career move Murdock is dismissive of any hype. In fact Murdock has claimed that his reason for signing with GCW is to continue his mission to take down those who are overhyped and elevated to levels that he feels are beyond their merit.
Murdock calls himself 'The Iconoclast' because he wants to shatter the reputations of the wrestlers he faces in GCW. At 6"3 and 220lbs Murdock is a pretty powerful force in the ring but can also call upon his speed and agility to get the better of his opponents. Although he is happy to go toe to toe with anyone he faces Murdock prefers to out-smart and out-manoeuvre his prey particularly when facing bigger and stronger foes.
