This is a joint rp for Andrew and Ayumi for their respective matches
“Here I am. Japan. So close to my home. But yet I lived here for a large part of my life as well, so much so this could easily be called my second home. In fact, that’s what I will call it. Never have I felt more confident in a match than I feel now. This match easily could be a headliner on any GCW Pay Per View and I am honored to be a part of it.”
He pauses as he takes a look around. He sits inside an empty stadium. Not just any empty stadium but the future home of Vindication, Nippon Gaishi Hall. Andrew sits in a chair on the front row, hard camera side. His International title can be seen draped around his shoulder.
“For many years I called this country home. Just last week I was in my real home, South Korea. Simon Cade invaded my home country and I sent him packing. Another fellow Asian, Kenji, tested me twice and each time he fell. But with each match I began to respect him more and eventually decided to form a team with him. Greatness see greatness and we will be great in GCW. But that domination comes later. I have something else to keep my attention this week. Mason James, The Answer, Daniel Collins. A main event line up if I’ve ever seen one. Each a champion in their own right.”
He motions to a video screen which hangs from the rafters. Daniel Collins’ picture appears there.
“First we got Hardcore Champion Daniel Collins. The hardcore title might be looked at as being less prestigious than the other GCW titles but it is still a title that he earned through blood, sweat and tears. People look down on the Hardcore title but as someone who has fought in many death matches throughout Japan I respect a man as tough as he. He is scrappy and will be a tough out no matter how good I am. People would be foolish to count him out.”
The Answer appears on the screen next.
“The Answer. GCW United States champion. Now we are talking. This man is thought very highly of in my inner circle. The Us champion is also a major force in GCW. I’ve seen his matches and I am more than ready to face off against him. I respect him as well and look forward to the opportunity to lock up with him at Vindication.”
He glances back up on the screen as a picture of Mason James appears.
“Now, we come to the big man himself. GCW Champion Mason James. The monster of a man towers over his competition. But yet for some odd reason I am not afraid. I’ve faced many tough challenges before and this will be no different. In fact, the thought has crossed my mind to cash in my International Title for a shot at the GCW Championship. Apparently that’s a thing you can do here. But I can use this as a chance to scout out my potential future opponent. This is the chance of a lifetime, the chance for me to show the world and GCW what I am made of. If I can take down three other champions in one match there will be no one who can dispute my claim as being one of the best in GCW. After a string of losses I am here to change my destiny once again. The GCW International Champion is named Andrew Jordan. I being an international athlete myself make this title the perfect one for me. Japan, I am home.”
His words are cut short as the creak of the door can be heard. He turns to the noise as Aymui quietly pushes her way into the gym. She notices Andrew and gasps.
“I’m so sorry I didn’t think anyone was in here. I can leave.”
He holds up a hand to stop her.
“Don’t worry about it, I was just going over my thoughts for the match. Speaking of which, you have a big match yourself against the GCW Women’s champion don’t you?”
She makes her way over to where he is seated and takes a seat next to him.
“Yes, Chiyoko. I’ve faced her numerous times since arriving in GCW. I’m very familiar with her.”
“Well, what do you think?”
“Well, I DID beat her last time we matched up. I’m also coming off a big win against that crazy woman Camber. That was a scary match but in the end good prevailed over evil. Chiyoko isn’t evil so I am not as scared to face her. But I am also not taking her lightly. I am taking this match very seriously as it could be the launching point for me to make a run at the GCW Women’s title.”
“Yeah, that would be awesome. My little cousin, GCW Women’s Champ. We’d have two of the big titles in GCW. And with my new partnership with Kenji, he is knocking on the door of the US Title and a possible tag team title could be in the future. Imagine that Ayumi, we’d have all but 2 of the GCW titles. But I shouldn’t count my chickens before they hatch. Which reminds me, I never formally asked but would you be interested in joining up with me and Kenji? As 3 of the only 4 Asians in GCW we really need to stick together.”
“What about Chiyoko, she’d be a great addition?”
“She would be but it seems as if she is going through some stuff of her own at the moment. But adding her would be nearly perfect for our little coalition.”
“Yeah, that’s true. I hope we can put on a great match and tear down the house. Me and her work really well together. She’s by far my toughest challenge here in GCW and I treat every meeting with her as if it is the most important. Without her the GCW women’s division would be a lot less interesting. She balances everything out.”
They sit there in silence for a few moments letting their thoughts run loose. Ayumi eventually breaks the silence.
“Soo, how are you and Jessica doing? I’ve not seen her in a while.”
“Well, juggling between dating me and being my assistant she stays very busy. I gave her the week off to visit her family. She should be catching a plane soon and I’ll see her before Vindication.”
“Oh, ok. That makes me happy. I was hoping things between you were still good.”
“Why wouldn’t they be?”
“Well, you called me not too long ago freaking out about something that seemed to be following you. It scared me and I was worried there was some bad stuff going on with you all.”
“Well as far as I’m aware I’ve shaken it off. Winning definitely helps. As far as I’m concerned, no demon in Hell can stop me from dominating. Ayumi, I really hope you can pull this win off. Two wins against the current champion could cement your spot in the title hunt.”
“I know, I hope I can win and not let everyone down. Our family will be watching us you know. We can’t dishonor them.”
“I’m aware, I don’t plan on doing that.”
“Good, family needs to stick together. I’ll be pulling for you big brother.”
“I’m not your brother..”
“I know, but you’ve always been there for me and treated me like a sister. Ever since we were kids you’ve watched out for me.”
“You’re right, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”
“Want to get something to eat? Sitting in this place is fun but it gets kind of creepy in here, being so empty and vast. Never know what could be lurking in the shadows.”
“That’s true. I’m good with eating, as long as it isn’t the #1 Champion combo.”
Ayumi smiles and stands up as they exit the arena.

Daniel RP for Fatal Four Way
“You know, when I heard your song, I knew I had to talk to you in person...”
"O-Oh!" Chiyoko clutches a fist at her chest defensively, a nervous smile on her face. "Um... Well... I'm glad you think that, but, um..." She was trying her best to remain polite to the odd stranger. "You... didn't need to barge into my dressing room like this..."
“It was a beautiful song, but your Japanese could use some work. I could teach you, you know.”
"Ah..." She trails off, fidgeting under his gaze. "I... appreciate it, but, um..." She glances aside. "I have... other obligations to take of after this..."
“Think about it. You, and me, alone. We could rent a hotel, and I’d teach you many things, miss.”
"Wait... wh-what?" As he tries to hobble closer to her, Chiyoko catches a whiff of the alcohol on his breath. "Umm..." She winces, edging away. "S... S-Sir? I think you might have had a bit too much to drink." She timidly lifts a finger, pointing to the door. "Um, thank you for the offer, but I think you should leave..."
“Why should I leave? I’m not going to leave unti- agh!”
”I think.” Daniel says, lifting the man up by the back of his shirt, ”The lady said.” he turns toward the door ”That you should go!” he yells, hurling him out of the room. With the threat gone, he dusts his hands off idly before turning to Chiyoko. ”You alright, Chiyoko? He didn’t hurt you, did he?”
"O-oh!" She peers out the door, the drunken man now sprawled out on the ground in front of them, unconscious from the impact against the wall. El Masko looms over the odd man, puzzled. Noticing Chiyoko, he looks up, staring at her for a few moments before flashing an enthusiastic thumbs up.
"The Chyoke... She do this? She has gotten much stronger!"
"Ah... ahahaha..." She laughs half nervously, half out of courtesy. "No, no, El Masko... It was your friend who did that."
"...Oh." His tone deflates a bit. "Much less surprising."
"Haa..." She sighs, before turning back to Daniel. "Thanks, Mr. Coll- ...I mean, Daniel."
”... Don’t worry about it, Chiyoko. It’s my job as a bodyguard, after all. Guy was getting a bit too fresh with you.”
"Y... Yeah..." She scratches at her head nervously. "Maybe we should head back early..."
"Yes! As they say," El Masko chimes in. "There are many fish in sea!" He pauses, then frowns. "...Some of them sharks."
”That’s…” Daniel is silent for a short time, ”That’s surprisingly accurate, Masko. You’re right, both of you. I’ll go find the driver.” with that, he walks off, letting the others follow.
"Um... So, Daniel..." Chiyoko was seated between the two men in the back of the cab returning them to the hotel. She looks to Daniel. "About that guy you knocked out earlier... Thanks again for that, by the way..." She fidgets again. "But, um... is... is that how your matches normally end?"
Daniel awkwardly scratches the back of his head ”Well, that sure would be nice. Sadly...no. That guy was weak and unprepared. My opponents...aren’t. Especially not this week.” He barely fails to hide a slight grimace as he talks about his match.
"Um... who’re you up against...?"
"All of them!" El Masko holds up his fists in a mock fighting stance.
Daniel clears his throat gently, ”What he means to say,” he begins, ”Is that I’m fighting the other champions this week. Everyone but the half of the tag team champions I want to fight most.” a brief scowl lights on his face before he reigns it back into a neutral expression.
She frowns. "That sounds... kinda scary."
”I...wouldn’t say that I’m scared, really. It’s more like...I don’t have anybody in that match that I can trust.” He thinks for a moment, then begins again. ”That sounds pretty dumb, I guess. What I mean is...matches like this, there tends to be a few people that you can trust to work with you, if only to eliminate a larger threat. “
"Ah... That makes sense." She tilts her head inquisitively. "Well... Who’s the larger threat? Who’re you worried about most?"
”Well, I’d have to say Mason. You’ve probably seen him around, he’s the heavyweight champion, after all. Big guy, very big. I mean, I could probably lift him up if he wasn’t struggling...at all…and if I had some reaaal good leverage, but getting all that worked out, while there’s two other guys coming at me? Just about impossible, I’d say.”
"Oh..." Chiyoko taps at her chin in thought. "Um, well... Who else is in the match? Maybe one of them could help you..."
”Hmm...There’s Andrew Jordan, and there’s The Answer. Answer is not a possibility, not after what his tag partner did. Maybe Jordan? He doesn’t seem...too bad. Truth be told, I don’t really know much about him in the first place.” Daniel shrugs. Maybe Manny could tell him more, but for now, he was on his own.
"Then maybe he’s the safest option?" Chiyoko shrugs.
"Wild card is most dangerous card! Hard time predicting!!" El Masko nods. "But, Daniel... he also wild card, in past." He lifts a finger informatively. "If Daniel wild card, and Jordan wild card..." He clasps his hands together. "Then, is match made in Kevin!"
Daniel smiles a little at El Masko’s musings before he turns his attention back to the task at hand. ”I guess you’re right, you two. I’ll work on getting Jordan to help me beat down the other two once we’re in the ring… let’s just hope he doesn’t decide to betray me until the other two are dealt with, eh?” he turns to look out the window. ”Oh, it looks like we’re almost there.” he points out to the other two passengers.
Sure enough they quickly arrive back at the hotel without any other incident. ”Well, here we are, safe and sound. You going up to check on Mr. Pryce, Chiyoko?”
"Yeah... I hope he’s doing better." She nods. "And... thanks again for looking out for me. "
”Don’t mention it. I’ll follow you in a minute, I just gotta make a quick call, alright?” Daniel says, pulling out a surprisingly large cell phone.
"Oh! Okay." She glances at the phone curiously for a moment before shaking her head. "Let’s go, El Masko."
"Okey Artichokey!" Masko nods, taking the lead.
As soon as the other two disappear into the hotel, Daniel dials up the one and only contact he has on the phone, and puts it to his ear. ”Hey, Manny. What do you know about the guys I’m going up against?”
”Oh! Daniel! I was waitin’ for you all week to ask! Trust me, I got some juicy deets this week! Oh ho ho, so, let’s start with Mason…”

"This is corruption at its finest..."
Maricia sits in the back of the limo, across from Andreas.
MC: They've got you against both those fuckers. Why not just make it a fatal four way! Throw Darius in there for good measure!
AL (to himself): Because that would be sheer chaos...
MC: All the same, I suppose. Demolish both of them. John is a blank slate, Kidd is a midget. You're basically facing a vanilla midget.
AL: Don't underestimate them...
MC: Oh come on, have some faith in yourself--
AL: Both of those men are world championship material--
MC: So are you!
Andreas shakes his head.
AL: After this, possibly. Not yet. Either way, it's 2 on 1, and I have to play safe.
Maricia glides across the limo, and sits beside Andreas. She puts a hand on his shoulder.
AL (to himself): Get off me...
MC: You are going to do whatever you have to--
AL (to himself): Please...
Andreas is sitting in a car, outside a house. He looks over to the doors as they open. A tall, middle eastern man, wearing a tailored grey suit, walks out.
A short brunette woman jogs out after him. She's got a travel mug in her hand. Dressed in a silk robe, her hair tied up in a messy bun.
AL (to himself): Saraya...
The man turns around, and Saraya hands him the travel mug.
SL: You forgot this babe!
She smiles sweetly as he kisses her on the cheek. He gets into his car, and drives away. She waves at him, and walks back into her house, shutting the door. Andreas starts his car, and drives off. His grip tightens on the steering wheel, wringing the leather.
MC: To secure a victory here tonight--
Andreas firmly grips Maricia's hand, and removes it from his shoulder. He turns to her, and shakes his head.
AL: Please. Don't.
Maricia clasps her hands together, and stares at Andreas awkwardly. The car comes to a stop. The chauffeur opens the door and Andreas steps out. With one foot out the door, he turns back to Maricia.
AL: This match is going to be very telling. Either I can dismantle The Conspiracy, or I can't. This is the opportunity. This is the test.
He steps out of the car, and walks into the arena.

The camera fades in, and we see Darius standing in front of his desk. He leans back, almost sitting on it.
DS: There are few things in this world that I am unsure of.
He reaches back, and grips his desk firmly.
DS: I am unsure of when my last day will be.
A slight glitch, and brief static interrupts the stream, before promptly returning to the view of Darius.
DS: I am unsure of my future in regards to this company.
Another glitch, this time slightly longer.
DS: Most of all, I am un--
The stream cuts, and static fills the screen.
We see the inside of the bunker, the same one that was shown on Vindication last week. The podium with the lighted button still shines.
: I am sure of three things...
The sounds of footsteps can be heard, echoing throughout the bunker.
: The universe, has a plan for us all.
A silhouette passes in front of the camera.
: I am, indeed, big in Japan.
The silhouette approaches the button.
: And last, but not least, fuck Tammy for what she did to Birdperson-- wait, no, that's not it.
As the silhouette approaches the button, the light from the podium reveals it to be none other than Sway Archer.
SA: The third thing I am sure of, is that I, have unfinished business, with a few of the people on this roster. I'm here to end it. I'm here to end them.
Sway firmly places hand down on the button.
SA: Let's Begin.
He presses the button, and the stream cuts briefly, before returning to Darius.
DS: One thing I am sure of... is that I can defeat Owen Hawes. I plan on doing just that. I've waited a long time, for a solid opportunity to hang him from his own noose. This week, will end the same as last week for Owen. He will lay, on the mat, writhing in pain. And I, will be one step closer, to taking back my rightful spot, as King of this company.
Darius stands tall, and chuckles.
DS: Well, what's left, of this company, once I'm done with it.
Chiyoko frowns, peering back at Pryce. They were at a park today, trying to find a decent spot to train, and her manager insisted on coming along with them. He had been doing better since last week, but... she had a feeling that Pryce kept trying to hide how bad his state really was. He had actually been hobbling behind her, but quickly straightens himself up under her gaze, forcing a nonchalant shrug.
"I'm... fine." He smiles, though his legs suddenly buckle, betraying his facade. "Gah...!" He stumbles over, quickly latching onto a nearby bench for support. He winces, blinks, then looks back up to Chiyoko, the corners of his mouth stretching into a reassuring grin. "...Never better!"
"Wh...!" She squeaks, trotting back to him. "Ngh... Don't push yourself like that." She frowns, glancing over him in concern. Her brow raises. "...Where's the cane we got for you?"
"DIDN'T NEED IT~!" The manager forces himself back upright, proudly puffing his chest out in some needless display of virility. "Silly thing made me look like an old man, yeah?" He snaps a finger, flipping it into a fingergun with a wink. "Not every day you see a guy like me with-" His hand quickly unfurls to clutch at his chest as a cough suddenly tears through his throat. "Hrk...!"
"Aw, geez..." Chiyoko grasps at his arm, assisting in holding him upright. "It doesn't matter what it makes you look like! It's the function that's important! And besides," she adds with a pout. "You're wearing a suit covered in little Hello Kittys, so that whole "makes you look old" thing is a moot point!" Her brow furrows, her tone stern. "If you don't have your walking cane, then I think you should go back to the room and get some rest, mister!"
"Hah... Relax... Chiyo...!" Pryce grunts in between bouts of clearing his throat. "I won't be doing much, yeah...?" He sighs, finding relief from the soreness in his throat. "I'll just find myself a nice cushy seat and do some networking is all..." He pats at the phone in his pocket. "Don't need to exert myself much for that, yeah?"
She sighs in return, helping him steady his balance. "I suppose..." She experimentally releases her hold on him. "But if you start to feel any major pain, make sure you tell us, okay?" Chiyoko folds her hands pleadingly. She had an inkling he wouldn't, but... he responds with a wordless, eager nod all the same. "...All right. Good."
As soon as Pryce takes his seat on the park bench that saved his fall, Chiyoko heads off to a clearing, catching up with Daniel and El Masko.
"Hey, um... Daniel."
"Hmm?" The muscleman looks over.
"Thanks again for saving me the other day... And giving me advice on Strummer last week," Chiyoko begins. "So, um... I was wondering... Remember how you taught me the basics for hardcore matches a few weeks ago, before that...?" She frowns, tilting her head inquisitively, tapping at her chin. "Do you know how to prepare for other match types, too?"
"Why do you ask?" Daniel pauses. "...Is this because of Camber?"
"Y-Yes!" She nods, clenching her fists to her chest. "I have to train for all possible scenarios..." She frowns. " I have to be ready for any type of match that Camber picks...!"
"...Chiyoko." He sighs. "Chiyoko, that's... not how it works."
"Yes it is!" She insists with a pout. "I promised I wouldn't let Mr. Pryce get hurt, and I intend to keep that promise!"
"That promise won't do you any good if you're too hurt to defend him."
Her fists lower. "...What?"
"If you spend all of your energy trying to cover all of these bases..." He folds his arms in thought. "You'll wear yourself out - or even risk getting hurt. And if that happens..."
"...Oh." She rubs at her chin. "Then... I guess I'd really be at a disadvantage, huh..." She looks up, her tone insistent. "But even still...!"
"Even still, you should probably concentrate on Ayumi this week." Daniel frowns. "Pryce mentioned she's handed you your only loss so far, right?"
"...Yeah..." She looks aside with a wince. "...She was also my first match here, too. I beat her back then, so..." Chiyoko looks up thoughtfully. "I guess that makes both of us even, huh?"
"Then I reckon you should focus on that." He shrugs. "If you look past what's in front of you, then things will be over before you can even reach Camber."
"Agh, yeah..." She presses a palm into her forehead, inwardly cursing her lack of foresight. "I should've realized that! But it's just... I don't..." She lowers her hand, timidly wrapping her arms around herself, her voice small. "I don't want to see Mr. Pryce like that again..."
Daniel shares a knowing grimace with Chiyoko. "...I get where you're coming from." He frowns, briefly glancing over his shoulder to El Masko, who's blissfully preoccupied with the physics of a nearby swing set. "So, I guess if that's the case..." He sighs, looking back to her. "I'll at least teach you a little bit more about the basics of hardcore matches - things that could be used for just about any other match."
"Ah... Yeah, that's probably the best idea." She frowns, clearly still hesitant.
"...Look," he reassures her. "When Camber announces what kinda match you guys are gonna be in, then I'll teach you all I can about..." Daniel pauses. "...whatever match it is. But as it stands now? It's best to play it safe." He tilts his head slightly, raising a finger. "What if you spend all your time training for an inferno match, but Camber ends up declaring a cage match? Then all that inferno match knowledge isn’t gonna help you there."
"Oh! What about ambulance match?" El Masko pipes in, trotting up and peering over Daniel's shoulder. "Or street fight? Or what about Hungry Man Dinner match?" He seems amused with his idea, but quickly grows dejected by it. "That seem worse match of all..." He frowns, slouching over. "If match is two ladies... How can be hungry man...?!" He throws his hands up childishly, baffled by his own match stipulation.
Daniel smiles, chuckling in amusement. "Yeah, that's right, Masko." He pats the luchador on the back. "The match Camber picks... could literally be anything."
"Until Camber announces the stipulation, don't worry about it." He briefly slings an arm around El Masko in an idle hug before releasing him. "But for now? Ayumi comes first."
"Yeah... You're right. I may have a bit more experience now, but she still outranks me in that area... So I'll have to give my best as usual, huh? Ha..." Her shoulders sink. "It's just been really difficult to concentrate after the stuff that happened with Mr. Pryce..." She glances up to him. "So... Thanks for keeping me focused." She smiles briefly before looking aside. "Sorry that you got forced into doing all this, too..." She frowns. "This is what Calhoun would normally be doing, but..."
"Eh, you know..." Daniel shrugs. "It's no worry. Training you also helps me train, so... it's a win-win. " He shoots off a lone fingergun. "I'm sure that trainer of yours will turn up some time soon."
"I sure hope so..." Chiyoko sighs. "...But I guess I shouldn't be dwelling on him... We have some big matches this week, so... Let's get started on training, okay?"
He nods. "Yeah, sure."
The two begin to position themselves near each other, with El Masko cheering them on from the side. Pryce watches them from the bench he's seated on, a small smile on his face. It's only for a moment, though - as he glances back down at his phone, the smile vanishes, reverting into a thin, straight line of uncertainty. His brow furrows in concentration as he reads and rereads the information on screen. Among the list of names, the display highlights one specific contact: Casey Calhoun. Pryce idly murmurs to himself, his finger hovering over the call button. He could call him... He should call him. And yet...
"...No. Not now..." Pryce convinces himself, dismissing the screen from view. "Now... just doesn't feel right." He sighs. "Timing is everything, after all, but... Hmm. I wonder..." He slumps backward in his seat, staring into the distance. "When will the right time come...?"
As the GCW Network is airing the latest episode of its developmental territory, a match between a new up and comer against a jobber nearly half his size is suddenly interrupted by static. The static is then replaced by a small red ember in the middle of a dark room.
“We interrupt your scheduled program to present this important message.”
Smoke fills the screen followed by a small flame. The flame moves and lights a candle filling the room, and showing the Nightmare, Owen Hawes sitting on a chair behind a desk smoking a cigarette. He is wearing a grey suit with a read tie. The suit is unkempt, with a button in the wrong slot. The tie is also barely tightened while his shirt is unironed with a few buttons undone. Owen Hawes’ hair is halfheartedly parted to the side as if done on a whim. His beard is crudely shaven, with cuts on his cheeks from nicks of the razorblade.
“There are stories coming in of a coup d’etat in the horizon. It seems that a king is going to fall. But in surprising fashion, and this may be unprecedented, the king’s fall isn’t the end goal. The king himself is simply a pawn all to reach one little kidd.”
Owen Hawes takes another drag from his cigarette. He gets up and walks across the room as the camera follows him. He speaks as he moves.
“I knew of a pawn once. He was a servant to a lord whom wasn’t a lord, but in truth, a mere peasant. But the peasant grew in power, he grew in rank, alongside him, this pawn. Until one day the pawn’s lord needed his helper the most, and the lord couldn’t find his pawn. The lord fell into a deep abyss, he was tortured, humiliated, he had his kingdom taken away from him and he had no one to look to.”
Owen Hawes reaches a small platform that lay horizontally. It is covered by a cloth. He takes another hit from his cigarette.
“But little did the pawn know that his lord would rise from the ashes and find him. The pawn thought he could escape his destiny. The pawn… or Pest, didn’t know that his lord never forgets.”
Owen Hawes removes the cloth from the platform revealing Owen Hawes’ former Pest strapped to the platform, his mouth gagged and his arms strapped to his sides whilst his legs are handcuffed to the platform’s legs.
Pest begins to struggle. Owen Hawes puts his hands on Pest’s cheeks, as his cigarette hangs from his mouth. He lightly taps Pest’s cheeks before taking another drag from the cigarette.
“This message goes to Kidd West, Darius Seeiso, the Conspiracy and the entire world! If this is what I’d do to someone I loved, image what I’d do to you.”
Owen Hawes takes out last long drag from his cigarette and puts it out on Pest’s forehead, scorching his skin. His shrieks echo as Hawes’ following words can barely be heard, even as he shouts it.
“We now return to our regularly scheduled program!”
The screen goes to static and returns to the match
Kidd West sits on a chair, cameras placed in front of him and a woman putting the finishing touches on his hair. The cameras suddenly turn on as our young male show host sits opposite
“Hi, I am Harry Larsen, and you’re watching The Sports Review. I’m here with my guest tonight Kidd West, owner of Global Championship Wrestling. Kidd how are you?”
“Good, great to be on the show Harry, gets me out of the offices for a while” Kidd chuckles
“Haha, Great! Now, some of our viewers are curious as to why you have been cagey in recent weeks with the random appearances of Owen Hawes?”
West clears his throat, “To put it simply, it is a matter of security. Many of my trusted allies and advisors have told me to err on the side of caution. My own GCW security have taken to giving me strict instructions to not remain in one place for too long backstage due to the increased chance of running into Owen Hawes”
“Wow… that sounds chaotic. Anyway, enough of that. Lets get down and into the real dirt! There are those in the GCW fanbase who seem to think you are unfit to be owner, they seem to think you cause trouble. Have you anything to say to them?”
“Yes, yes I do. There have been weeks and weeks of accusations levied at me by the same repetitive sources, all these people on their Reddits, their Forums, their YouTube comment sections. They say the same shit every day. Kidd West is all about himself, Kidd West does everything he can to remain on top. ‘I can’t believe Kidd West is still in charge’. Many of these ‘Keyboard Warriors’ seem to think I am someone who they can shit on day in and day out and make demands. Who cares if Needham isn’t getting the matches he deserved, he hasn’t been here as long as some of our members to prove himself. Who cares if I just happen to win titles, I won those on merit and merit alone. They seem to think I can just put myself in a match with the champion and things will happen. No, I worked hard to get where I am today. I learned by experiencing and changing up what I did in ring till it ensured I was capable of winning, I flipped back through my tapes and looked at what I did well and what I failed at and learned from my mistakes. Meanwhile, these new kids, all they want is for someone to tell them what to do to win. Thats not how this works, thats not how any of this works. Its all about self-progression. Something sorely lacking amongst this new generation and something those ‘Keyboard Warriors’ cannot seem to fathom as a simple concept.”
“I see… Some people on twitter seem to think you surround yourself with… unsavory types, specifically Mr Darius Seeiso. Considered a very arrogant man amongst those very same… ‘Keyboard Warriors’ as you called them”
“Whoever I work with is of no concern to them. Darius is a top lad and a standout talent. Can he come across as arrogant, sure I won’t deny that, but when someone like him has to deal with fans spinning yarns about how he is mean and terrible, it turns a man angry. They only see one facet of him. They see only one side to the coin that is Darius Seeiso. I have worked with him in The Conspiracy for many months, heck we are probably the best guys in GCW. Period. And its these very same ‘Keyboard Warriors’ who cannot seem to fathom that fact. They look at us and they loathe us. They see two men who on any given day of the week can outdo their chosen heroes in the ring. They can try come at us and fire their shots on social media, but we all know we can rise above the hate because we are good at what we do. Well, I can’t speak for Darius. I think he’s been stressed with the whole ordeal he’s having to contend with. Especially my decision to induct John into the conspiracy...”
Kidd West’s phone suddenly buzzes. The name flashes across the screen. Nigel Alexander. Kidd suddenly removes his mic and quickly dashes out of the room to take the call.
The Answer punches the door to GCW headquarters partly open, afterwards looking at his hand, which was bleeding because of the punch. He opened the door regularly afterwards and started beating up everyone he could see. Punches, big boots, a few alleyoop facebusters to go around. Eventually he breaks into a production office, and he grabs one of the guys in the room by the throat and backs him to a wall. "Why the fuck was the livestream cut off?" Answer yells.
The production man doesn't speak for a few seconds, before letting out a "What?". "WHY THE FUCK WAS THE LIVESTREAM FEED CUT OFF?" Answer yells again, louder. The guy stumbles, he's clearly very nervous. "B-B-B-Because the power went out!" the guy says.
The Answer kicks the man in the dick. "I was in the headquarters while the stream was taking place. Tell me the truth or you'll get your ass handed to you. You'll be like all three of those other shitty, unworthy champs that I'm fighting on Vindication. I will ask the question one more fucking time. Why did the livestream feed cut off?" he says. The guy thinks for a second. "No?" he answers.
Turns out that was a pretty big mistake, as the Answer threw him into a set of desktop computers. The others in the room ran out because they believed Answer was going to go on a rampage. Answer looked in his pocket and found a stack of sticky notes and a pen. He wrote some stuff on the sticky notes and put it on the back of the man who was questioned, who was completely unconscious. The sticky note read "I. O. U. some computers.". Answer walked out whistling as if nothing had happened.
Sitting around the GCW locker rooms, Mason James sits quietly on the bench, staring a hole into the ground as he plots his next plan. He occasionally rubs his neck with an ice pack due to the double team by Jensen and Shio. From behind him, Jessica emerges from the door as he stands up and turns towards her.
Mason: What do you want?
Jessica: nothing really. I’m just checking on how my monster is doing?
Mason: I’m not your anything. I didn’t ask for you to join me. In fact. I want you to leave me alone. Did you not see what happened to Ian?
Jessica: Oh, I did, but it didn’t do what you think it did to me. To me, it made me realise that if you are not controlled, you could do some serious damage. Ian was weak. There was no way he could handle someone of your capability. That’s why you lost so many important matches, he was holding you back.
Mason: And what makes you think that you can do any better than that mortal?
Jessica steps closer to Mason and wraps her arms around his.
Jessica: Because unlike Ian, I have a certain “persuasion” over you. I know that you will never touch me. Not after…that incident.
Mason’s eyes widen as he turns violently towards Jessica. She doesn’t flinch in fear, but instead smiles directly at him.
Mason: How do you know about that? NOBODY knows about that! Not Even Ian knew!
Jessica: I have my ways. Besides, your secret is safe with me, if you accept me as your manager.
Mason stares at Jessica as his rage continues to grow. In response, Jessica places a hand on his arm and strokes down it. Eventually, Mason’s rage fizzles out and he simply nods, his head hung in defeat.
Mason: What do you expect me to do?
Jessica: It’s simple: Keep doing what you have been doing and crush anyone who questions you. This fatal 4 way match is no problem for someone like you. Daniel is nothing but a joke. Even his “serious” look is riddled with nonsense. The Answer, well you should already know everything about him by now. You faced him in your first match in GCW and he beat you. You better get that win back.
Mason: And Andrew?
Jessica: He’s in his home continent. It may not be obvious, but he’s a contender to your title too. Give extra attention to him so he never wants to face you for the title.
Mason: And what are you doing in all of this?
Jessica: I, am going to go out and search for something that will be of great importance in the future. But don’t worry yourself on that. Just focus on crushing these so called “champions.”
Jessica leans into Mason and kisses his cheek. He flinches from the kiss and keeps his head down. Jessica smiles once again.
Jessica: You’ll be the perfect start to my ultimate plan. Good luck, my monster.
With that, Jessica leaves the locker room, making her way out of the arena. Meanwhile, Mason sits back down on the bench, his eyes even wider than before and the fire in them brighter than last time.
*Jamming out to the music blasting through his headphones, Kenji strolls down the streets of Japan, taking in the scenery of the place he grew up in. A couple of friends greet him along the way as he continues down the street. One person who passed him was a girl, draped in black with a somewhat familiar face to Kenji. She stared at him as he walked pass but did not stop him as he shrugged it off. Eventually he made it to a house where he knocked on the door*
Mother: Kenji! We knew you’d come!
Kenji: Hi mom, nice to see you again. *he says as he embraces his mother. From behind him, his father is watching him with a broad smile*
Kenji: Hi dad, how is everything?
Father: Everything is perfect now that we get to see our son once again.
Mother: Come in, come in. I’ll make some tea. Same as usual?
Kenji: You know me too well.
*As Kenji’s mother brings over the tea and sits with her father, Kenji smiles*
Kenji: It’s so nice to come back to Japan. I’ve been waiting for this tour for forever.
Father: And we’ve been waiting for you to come back.
Mother: Yeah we haven’t seen you since you won the Hardcore championship.
Kenji: Woah, that is a long time ago.
Mother: Anyway how are things? How’s Toshiya?
Kenji: He’s doing great! The sports channel he’s on has recently promoted him to lead pundit. He’s really making a name for himself.
Father: That’s just what I wanted to hear. My son following in his father’s footsteps.
Kenji: You could almost say he’s better than his father.
*They all laugh as Kenji’s dad scowls sarcastically*
Mother: So I heard you made a new friend, Andrew.
Kenji: Yeah, he’s one hell of a fighter. He kicked my butt so many times in the past that I’m sort of glad he asked me to team up with him. We’re going to win those tag titles, I just know it.
Father: Just remember to be patient. You may not win straight away, but eventually you will prevail.
Kenji: Thanks dad. I’ve been struggling with my psyche for a while now. I’ve had so many chances at the titles but I couldn’t reach them. But right now, with Andrew by my side, I feel a lot better.
Father: And don’t forget that lovely Jessica by your side as well. *he begins to chuckle*
Kenji: Yea, about that, we haven’t really spoken in a long time.
Mother: Really, what went on?
Kenji: I was sort of being a big douche and she told me to call when the old Kenji was back. But I haven’t called her back.
Father: There’s no such thing as an “old” you. There is a you. That’s all. You will change constantly through life. I mean, you’re only 21, you’ve got a whole life ahead of you before you can start reminiscing.
Kenji: Yeah, that’s true. Hey, speaking of reminiscing, I could do with your help with analysing Shio Corin for my match this week.
Father: Shio? You mean 3-time world champion Shio? He’s going to be tough. His background has shaped him to be a very brawler esque character meaning you are going to have to be cautious when it comes to fighting fist to fist. You may be more disciplined but he is more unorthodox. However, from his current performance, he seems to be trying to find his footing again so use that as your advantage.
Kenji: And Jensen?
Father: He’s a gifted man. Despite his recent spell of table breaking injuries, he always finds a way to fight to the very end. You’ve faced him and beaten him before so my suggestion is to watch those matches and pick out key areas that gave you the advantage over him.
Kenji: Thanks dad. Maybe Toshiya still has a long way to go before he reaches your level.
Father: *chuckles* You pick up a lot of things after working in sports commentary for 40 years.
*The three of them laugh for a while before Kenji’s mum speaks up once the laughs have gone*
Mother: Oh, Kenji. I have a surprise for you.
Kenji: Oh really? And what would this surprise be?
*Kenji’s mom reaches over the couch to reveal a home-made wrestling attire. Kenji is speechless as he hugs his mum before hastily putting it on and looking into a mirror*
Kenji: I…LOVE IT! Thank you so much!
Mother: You better wear it for your match this week.
Kenji: I’m going to wear it for the rest of my Career! Thank you.
*Kenji walks up to his parents before they all begin to embrace in a hug*
I was alone in my hotel room. I had heard that Nagoya was a great city, but had decided to stay indoors for the evening. With a big match scheduled tomorrow with the returning Shio Corin and the always ready Kenji Yamada, It was important for me to be completely focused. Also, nothing makes you feel more alone in this world than exploring a strange new place by yourself.
So rather than walking down the streets of this great Japanese city in search of adventure, I was sitting in the center of my room Native American style. In order to get the ambiance just right, there were several candles burning at different locations in the room. It wasn't perfect, but it was all that the hotel management would allow from me. Normally, this particular meditation would include spreading the ash of burnt sage bundles through out the room and drumming. Lots of drumming… I still don’t understand what the hotel has against fully purified auras.
Despite conditions not being perfect, I was completely at ease with my meditation thanks in part to a special new blend of herbal tea. As I kept my eyes closed, I focused on my upcoming opponents. Despite me already getting the best of them in the past, both men were dangerous because they had something to prove. The returning GCW legend Shio Corin looking to reestablish himself as the King of GCW; Kenji Yamada is trying to prove that his poor results are nothing more than bad luck. I had to be ready for anything.
Still seated after a few hours, I took one long breath, held it in for a few seconds, and then exhaled. As I was about to continue there was a knock on my door. I wasn’t expecting any visitors, so I was a bit startled by the interruption . As I stood up to remove the Native American headdress, the unknown visitor knocked again.
Voice: Mr. Jensen?
I walked slowly towards the door and flicked on the hotel room lights. With my eyes somewhat blurry, I peered out through the peephole in an attempt to identify my visitor. When I did so, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I quickly unlocked my door to greet her.
Lola: Mr. Jensen, hi!
Jensen: Oh...Hi. Lola.
Lola: Something wrong? I hope I'm not disturbing you too much.
Jensen: Oh no, I'm just a bit confused. I am not used to seeing you with so many clothes on.
Lola: Yeah, it is a bit cold outside tonight. May I come in?
I waved my hand and motioned for her to enter my hotel room. She walked carefully through my hotel room, not to step on any of my belongings scattered through out the floor.
Jensen: Excuse the mess, Been a bit busy here.
Lola: Oh don't worry about it. You should see my room some time.
Lola winks at me. I don't know why, but I return the gesture.
Jensen: So what can I do for you?
Lola: Well, truth be told, I am here to thank you for what you did for me a few weeks ago.
I tried to think back to the event in question, but was drawing a blank. Lola Sparkle must have read it on my face…
Lola: You know, back at the big show in China. You would think that someone would stop to help a poor crying girl in the trash, but apparently that isn’t the case. You were the only one nice enough to check on me.
Jensen: Oh no problem! When I see a person in need, I do the best I can for them. In fact my motto is “When you see somebody in need, go help them. It will make the world a better place for all.”
Lola laughs. Jensen: Its true. I am making it my business to change the world. The world needs changing, and I am the ONE who is going to do it.
Lola: If anyone can do it, its you. By the way, thanks for the t-shirt. I love it!
Lola rips open her jacket to reveal the JensONE t-shirt I gave her a few weeks ago. Though she had appeared to alter it. The collar of the shirt had been cut out, turning the shirt into a V-neck. A very deep V neck I might add, revealing more of the Lola I have come to know and love.
Lola: I hope you don't mind, but I customized the shirt a bit. It took some time though, its like this shirt is made out of Mithril or something.
Jensen: Close. Its 95% hemp. If you think the shirt is tough, you should check out the JensONE brand ropes.
I took my seat back on the ground. Lola remained standing. Lola: So I wanted to pay you back for actually being nice to me. How about dinner?
Jensen: Like I said Its no problem. It was actually a pleasure to help you. You are special Lola. You have a light and it shines within. Its a shame more people don't see it.
Lola smiled and sat across from me on the ground.
Jensen: If you wan't you can hang out with me and meditate. I can brew some special herbal tea and we can restart. It really helps with the meditation
Lola: That sounds like fun. Is this "tea" even legal?
Jensen: [Laughs] Lola, you have much to learn. If you want, I can teach you.
Lola looked at me. I could tell the wheels in her head were spinning.
Lola: I'm in.
Jensen: Excellent. I really think we can change the world together.
Jensen: So, let me go grab my extra Native American headdress and we can get started. Trust me, this is all going to be worth it....
